Holistic Health and Wellness Coach & Yoga Instructor

I founded Reflections of Wellness in 2005 and, wow, has it changed over the years. After working with clients with addiction issues for over 10 years, I decided to go back to school for nutrition and studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition receiving a certification as a Health Coach. I became fascinated with the impact that whole foods and a more natural lifestyle had not only on myself but my children.  It was amazing to be around other moms while my kids were growing up and incorporating my new found love into the schools.

Later, while still working with those afflicted with addiction, I became involved with Corporate education sessions, brown bag lunch trainings, Employee Wellness Days, School Wellness Fairs and anything that had my hands in the community. I loved being a part of wellness in every form.

I love health and wellness and I love counseling in all of its forms. There were times in my life that people told me to concentrate on one thing, but the truth is that all of my passions are connected in a "connect the dot" sort of way!

After utilizing mentors and courses to learn about healing the body for many years, I turned to learning about healing the mind. I understood that changing my foods alone was clearly not enough in my process and searched for more. I began a meditation and yoga practice and fell in love. I weaved it into my practice with clients and felt myself calmer, clearer and more able to be present. The real magic and fire in my life happened when I found Energy Coaching. Where do I begin and how do I describe??  It was like finding home!! It felt as though a web have been weaved and designed by the universe just for me. It was a practice that allowed me to go on a journey with my clients while they quieted their mind and tuned into their body's sensations and tapped into their intuitive guidance.  It allows clients to gain a deeper understanding of their emotions, thought patterns, and energetic blockages. I feel so privileged to work with people as they make shifts.

So, I am certified as a Holistic Health Coach, an Energy and Life Coach, a Meditation Instructor, a Mindful Art and Yoga Teacher, and a 200-hour certified Yoga teacher. I have been fortunate enough to have studied under amazing teachers who helped and guided me while I integrated all of the practices and tools I had come to love until I finally found my path.  I have been able to work in movement, meditation, breathing exercises and art into sessions to create sessions that are as unique as my clients!

With my yoga instruction, I strive to create a space where people of all walks of life can feel safe, welcomed, and accepted, no matter their abilities or where they are in their yoga practice and journey. I encourage my students to listen to their bodies and accept what they need.

My teachings tend to gravitate towards and embrace the more gentle, restorative, slow and contemplative styles of yoga practice. I believe this helps us balance out all the on-the-go aspects of our lives with a time and space to slow down and quiet and still the body, mind and heart.  I am a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered yoga teacher and I have received additional training and certifications in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, and Subtle Yoga. I am also a Certified Meditation Teacher and have studied MBSR.
