Hi! I'm Carin

Holistic Health and Wellness Coach & Yoga Instructor
I founded Reflections of Wellness in 2005 and, wow, has it changed over the years. After working with clients with addiction issues for over 10 years I decided to go back to school for nutrition and studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition receiving a certification as a Health Coach. I became fascinated with the impact that whole foods and a more natural lifestyle had not only on myself but my children. It was amazing to be around other moms while my kids were growing up and incorporating my new found love into the schools.
Later, while still working with those afflicted with addiction, I became involved with Corporate education sessions, brown bag lunch trainings, Employee Wellness Days, School Wellness Fairs and anything that had my hands in the community. I loved being a part of wellness in every form.
I love health and wellness and I love counseling in all of its forms. There were times in my life that people have told me to concentrate on one thing, but the truth is that all of my passions are connected in a "connect the dot" sort of way!
So, I am certified as a Holistic Health Coach, an Energy and Life Coach, a Meditation Instructor, a Mindful Art and Yoga Teacher, and a 200-hour certified Yoga teacher. I have been fortunate enough to have studied under amazing teachers who helped and guided me while I integrated all of the practices and tools I had come to love until I finally found my path.
With my yoga instruction, I strive to create a space where people of all walks of life can feel safe, welcomed, and accepted, no matter their abilities or where they are in their yoga practice and journey. I encourage my students to listen to their bodies and accept what they need.
My teachings tend to gravitate towards and embrace the more gentle, restorative, slow and contemplative styles of yoga practice. I believe this helps us balance out all the on-the-go aspects of our lives with a time and space to slow down and quiet and still the body, mind and heart. I am a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered yoga teacher and I have received additional training and certifications in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, and Subtle Yoga. I am also a Certified Meditation Teacher and have studied MBSR.
